Director Sashi Paravoor and musician M Jayachandran has been instrumental in reworking some of the age old tunes for their newer films. The team had given a fresh leash of life to ‘Pachapanamthathe’-a song of fifties in their last film together ‘Nottam’, which was the biggest hit of the year. Now for the new movie; ‘Kadaksham’ M Jayachandran is revamping the famous song “Prananathan enikku nalkiya” a song which was a big rage for its sensuous explicit lyrics and was banned even by A I R. The original song by Irayimman Thampi was used for the movie ‘Enippadikal’, set to music by Devarajan master.

''The new version is a not a remix of the old one but a complete reconstruction with new orchestration elements. It was really a challenge to make it appealing for the new generation'' say M Jayachandran, the musician who used the sensuous voice of Chithra to perfect the song. The music of the movie, which stars Suresh Gopi and Swetha Vijay, will be released by the first week of this month.
